MES/MOM Software Architect .NET

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced development engineer, who will be responsible for building standardized Manufacturing Apps, based on operational needs expressed by large industrial customers.

His leadership skills and problem-solving mindset will allow him to smartly drive MES architecture projects, in close collaboration with YPSYS integration team and the Clients.

In addition, he will provide on-demand support to the sales team by contributing to commercial offers creation, establishing projects planning/workload and carrying out customized demos for the Clients.

In this challenging role, you will have to:

  • Ensure a good understanding of Client’s needs, in close collaboration with the sales team:
    • Create and make customized demos in the Customer environment
    • Analyze customer needs and split them into existing standards Manufacturing Apps and customs developments
    • Establish project workload and planning in collaboration with the sales engineers
    • Contribute to commercial offers creation (define and write specifications for functional modules)

 

  • In collaboration with the sales team, define business standards for the development of Manufacturing Apps in the environment of our MES platform, in respect of good practices established by the software publisher (based on existing proprietary API)
  • Define internal development methodology and norms, based on YPSYS field experience and according to Agile approach principles.
  • Create standard templates for any required technical documentation for development activities (e.g. Technical detailed specifications, test plans…)

 

  • Define/allocate project resources and tasks
  • Provide the integration team with technical recommendations for any custom development, on the basis of Client’s functional specifications. This mission contributes to optimize the future maintenance and support activities
  • Drive the project team, follow-up the progress of development tasks and track developers working time
  • Ensure the quality and coherence of the delivered Manufacturing Apps

 

  • Ensure a regular reporting on project status and issues list to the Client
  • Establish a smooth project-related communication in order to facilitate issues resolution, ensure project on time delivery and secure Customer satisfaction

 

  • Monitor technical support activities and potentially provide 2nd level technical support in collaboration with the support engineers
  • Potentially prescribe necessary hardware and perform technological watch

 

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Master technologies such as :
    • C# (class, interfaces, OOP) or one object-oriented language such as Java
    • .NET, ASP.NET WEBFORMS or a Web language
    • JavaScript / JQuery
    • HTML / CSS
    • MS SQL
  • Master software development methodologies and good practices (Agile, Scrum, GAMP)
  • A practical experience of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP would be highly appreciated
  • Have good experience of team leading, project management practices and related tools
  • Have the necessary training skills in order to develop the autonomy of new development engineers
  • Have good knowledge of Windows Server Operating System and related configuration
  • The knowledge of communication with OPC client applications would be appreciated

MES/MOM Software Development Engineer .NET

Job Description

We are looking for an autonomous development engineer, eager to learn and team-oriented, who will be responsible for building standardized Manufacturing Apps, based on operational needs expressed by large industrial customers.

His problem-solving mindset and communication skills will allow him to smartly work on various MES integration projects, in close collaboration with YPSYS team and the Clients.

In addition, he will provide Clients with technical support at the different stages of the integration projects and in the frame of the related Application Service Level Agreements.

In this challenging role, you will have to:

  • Develop standard Manufacturing Apps and custom functionalities in the environment of our MES platform
    • Based on functional and technical specifications provided by the MES Solution Architect
    • in accordance with the business standards and good practices established by YPSYS and the software publisher (based on existing proprietary API)
  • Participate in the writing of technical and design specifications necessary for the development
  • Collaborate with the MES solution architect and other development engineers on various tasks, in accordance with internal development methodology and norms (YPSYS field experience and Agile approach principles)
  • Ensure a regular reporting to the MES Solution Architect on his working time and on the progress of development tasks
  • Immediately inform the MES Solution Architect when a major functional or technical issue occurs in the course of the project implementation or in the frame of the SLA
  • Perform unit tests
  • Perform on-site implementation of MES solutions (on-site delivery, Customer assistance during acceptance tests, commissioning)
  • Provide 1er and 2nd level technical support in collaboration with other development engineers
  • Create required technical documentation for development activities (e.g. Technical detailed specifications, test plans…), on the basis of the internal standard templates
  • Perform Customer training on the following topics:
    • Basic and advanced use of Publisher’s MES platform
    • Knowledge of integrated MES solution

 

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Have a good knowledge of technologies such as:
    • C# (class, interfaces, OOP) or one object-oriented language such as Java
    • .NET, ASP.NET WEBFORMS or a Web language
    • JavaScript / JQuery
    • HTML / CSS
    • MS SQL
  • Have a practical experience of good practices for application development (Agile, Scrum, GAMP methodologies)
  • Have a good knowledge of user interface design and software ergonomics standards (user-oriented development)
  • An experience in software development or integration of MES Systems and/or shop-floor systems would be highly appreciated
