Customer Application Engineer – Ingénieur d’Application Client
Job Description
We are looking for motivated engineers, eager to learn, developing a passion for exchange, who will be requested to build highly customized MES solutions in close collaboration with YPSYS’s team and our customers. After an initial training and hand-over period of practice in a test environment, you will directly interact with customers under the guidance of an experienced collaborator. In this challenging role, you will have to:
- Integrate MES/MOM project(s), in accordance with development team standards
- Create functional specifications (Mainly in English and sometimes in French or German) based on customer requirements
- Exchange with the development team to:
- Transmit and clarify the functional specifications
- Report on bugs
- Carry out the MES platform configuration
- Provide customers with technical recommendations about IT issues and network architectures
- Test user interfaces, dashboards and reports created by the development team; Ensure their quality and consistency
- Prepare documentation and test scenarios to be used for the system acceptance phase
- Proceed to the solution commissioning on-site (unit and functional tests)
- Provide customers with support services and follow up on functional/technical issues during the life cycle of the project (on-site, hotline)
- Deliver training to customers on the solution
- Prepare and execute customer presentations and/or demos of our products and solutions
- Assist the Sales Team in the RFI/RFQ/RFP responses preparation
- Report on projects to the project manager
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Master the following technologies:
- OPC
- Fieldbus
- Networks (IP, switch, LAN, WWAN)
- Virtual machines
- OS installation/configuration
- Have a practical experience of MS SQL (preferred) or any other database
- As an advantage, have the knowledge of:
- C# or one object-oriented language such as Java
- .NET, ASP.NET WEBFORMS or a web language
- JavaScript / JQuery
- HTML / CSS
- GAMP methodology
- Moreover, a good knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) would be highly appreciated

Application Development Engineer – Ingénieur Développement Web
Job Description
We are looking for motivated engineers, eager to learn, developing a passion for exchange, who will be requested to build highly customized MES solutions in close collaboration with YPSYS’s team and our customers. After an initial training and hand-over period of practice in a test environment, you will directly interact with customers under the guidance of an experienced collaborator. In this challenging role, you will have to:
- Develop custom functionalities and standard modules in the environment of our MES platform, based on functional specifications provided by integration engineers
- Write design specifications for the development in accordance with the quality standards
- Collaborate with the solution architect and colleagues on various tasks, according to Agile Development Methodology
- Report to the scrum manager on developments
- Produce documentation necessary for quality management
- Perform unit tests and create related documents
- Provide 2nd level technical support in collaboration with the support engineers
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Master web technologies such as:
- C# (class, interfaces, OOP) or one object-oriented language such as Java
- .NET, ASP.NET WEBFORMS or a Web language
- JavaScript / JQuery
- HTML / CSS
- MS SQL
- Having a knowledge of good practices for application development is an advantage (Agile, Scrum, GAMP methodologies)
- Moreover, a knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or ERP would be highly appreciated
